But Rustic Roots has always been here…serving in the background, providing the lumber and materials for our many building projects.
Our homebase is located at 4362 Old York Road where we carry a wide variety of specialty milled lumber, natural stone, live-edge slabs, and so much more.
With our family friendly gem mining attraction, an odd collection of animals and cool things to see, we’re a quickly becoming a destination you don’t want to miss.

Went to the gem mining attraction and the kids had a great time! Process is very self-explanatory and it’s a good value for a unique activity for all ages. We purchased each child the “smallest” gem bag and everyone had the best time with their findings and comparing them to the gemstone identification card. One child opted for the arrowhead bag and was very pleased as well. Goats were also a big hit!

I tend to not write reviews because I like to show my appreciation by continually supporting a business that goes above and beyond. However, the guys at Rustic Roots are top notch and I could not have had a better experience. Justin helped me out with a load of Hickory splits and even helped load the wood. Not only is the quality fantastic, but the service and welcoming environment is out of this world. I will definitely use these gentleman exclusively for my wood needs for my BBQ business and highly recommend them for anything you need! Thank you guys again, the stoke level is through the roof and I cannot appreciate you more!

Loved the gem mining! Such a fun and great experience! We got to speak to Rusty who showed us around we got to see the goats, chickens, pigs and pony’s! The chicken tractors and above gardens were really cool to see as well. There’s also a small play area that my two year old enjoyed. Definitely will be coming back another day for more gem mining!
This place right here is the best place to get your wood . Great prices and great people, I had a great time there and definitely would be back throughout the years!

We had a great time visiting Rustic Roots on a homeschool field trip! We got to pet and feed all the animals, played on the little play area, had fun gem and fossil mining, then enjoyed the chainsaw art! Very cool place, and Rusty is amazing and so helpful and kind! Would go back in a heartbeat.

We celebrated my grandsons 11th birthday here. It is definitely a hidden gem! The kids had a blast. We even got to check out the goats, pigs and watch a chicken race in the back. Staff is super nice and laid back. So many cool things to check out. The woodwork is incredible. My grandson said it was his best birthday ever!

The guys at Rustic Roots are amazing. We purchased a large slab of cedar from their stock, and they turned it into 4 beautiful natural edged shelves for our home.

My husband and I came across this business on Facebook while in the market for a new wooden fireplace mantel. We decided to take the 45-min trip and BOY was it worth it! There was an awesome unique selection of wood to choose from at affordable prices!

I absolutely love this place! And I have taken several of my visiting friends here and they all love it as well. I have the coolest fountain and so many other items they give you ideas and beautiful Live Edge mantels and wonderful woodworking. Benches and swings and even a barbecue every other Saturday. If you like wood this is definitely a place to visit! I wish I had taken more pictures. This place is easy to find in Rock Hill right off the main road.
